Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL)

House construction with scaffolding and brickwork

The Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) is a charge that local planning authorities may apply to certain new developments. The funds raised are intended to help support infrastructure needed as a result of development in the area, such as open spaces, community facilities, and other local improvements. The funds are collected by West Berkshire Council, and Hampstead Norreys Parish Council is entitled to 15% of any CIL funding received.

We are required by law to publish an annual report detailing how much CIL we’ve received and how it has been spent. These reports help ensure transparency and accountability in how we manage these public funds. However, Hampstead Norreys Parish Council has not received any CIL funding. Accordingly, there is no CIL return to publish at present. If the Council receives any CIL funding in future, the relevant information will be published on this page in line with the Council’s reporting arrangements.
