Help Us Relist The White Hart as an Asset of Community Value

We’re gathering community evidence to support relisting The White Hart as an Asset of Community Value. If you’ve attended events, met as a group, or have photos or testimonials to share, please get in touch and help us show its importance to village life.

Hampstead Norreys Parish Council is preparing to apply to relist The White Hart as an Asset of Community Value (ACV), and we need your help. To support the application, we must provide clear, specific evidence showing how the pub contributes to the social wellbeing and social interests of our community.

Why your input matters

An ACV listing can only be granted if we demonstrate that The White Hart is more than a business – it must be shown to be a genuine community hub. Your experiences, memories, and examples of use are essential to building that case.

What we need from you

We are asking residents, groups, and organisations to share recent, concrete examples of how The White Hart has been used. This may include:

  • Clubs, societies, sports teams, or community groups that have met at the pub.
  • Community events held there (seasonal celebrations, charity events, quiz nights, gatherings, etc).
  • Personal testimonials describing how you, your family, or your group have used the pub.
  • Letters of support, short statements, or even a few sentences explaining why The White Hart matters to you.
  • Photos showing community use (if you are happy for these to be shared with West Berkshire Council as part of the ACV application).

Even small details help – dates, types of events, approximate attendance, or how often your group meets there.

How to send your evidence

Please email your comments, letters, or photos to enquiries@hampsteadnorreysparishcouncil.gov.uk.

Deadline

We kindly ask for responses by Sunday 12th April 2026.

Your contribution will help protect The White Hart for the future and ensure it remains a welcoming, social heart of our village. Thank you for taking the time to support this important community effort.
