Autumn Reminder: Please Cut Back Overhanging Vegetation
This autumn, we’re asking residents to check and cut back any overhanging vegetation from their property to keep pavements, signage, and roads clear. A little seasonal upkeep helps keep Hampstead Norreys safe, tidy, and accessible for all.

As autumn settles in across Hampstead Norreys, we’re asking all residents to take a moment to check for any overhanging vegetation from their gardens or boundaries that may be encroaching onto public footpaths, signage, or roadways.
Overhanging branches and hedges can pose several seasonal challenges:
- Wet leaves and low-hanging growth can become slippery or obstructive for pedestrians, especially those with pushchairs or mobility aids.
- Visibility for drivers and cyclists can be reduced, particularly near junctions and signage.
- Fallen leaves from untrimmed branches can quickly accumulate, creating mess and potential hazards.
We appreciate your help in keeping our village safe, tidy, and accessible for all. A little maintenance now goes a long way in supporting community wellbeing and reducing the need for reactive clearance later in the season.
Thank you for your continued care and cooperation.
