Support the Proposed Speed Limit Changes in Hampstead Norreys

West Berkshire Council has advised that new speed‑limit schemes will only be progressed where there is clear evidence of strong local support. A draft scheme for Hampstead Norreys has already been prepared by a consultant acting on behalf of the Council. The proposal includes new 20mph areas within the village, as well as changes to existing 30mph, 40mph and national speed‑limit sections.
The parish council has reviewed the proposed scheme and considers it to be appropriate for the village. To demonstrate community support, the parish council has set up a petition on the West Berkshire Council website. If residents wish the scheme to be taken forward, adding their name to the petition will help show that there is clear backing from the community.
