Organised in partnership with Reading and West Berkshire Carers Partnership, the event brings together a wide range of organisations offering free advice, information, and support for unpaid carers. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with:

  • Age UK Berkshire
  • West Berkshire Council Adult Social Care
  • Eight Bells
  • Crossroads
  • Alzheimer’s Society
  • Patient Information Point
  • West Berkshire Council Young Carers
  • And many other local stallholders

The afternoon begins with opening remarks at 2:30 pm, followed by a legal presentation from Silver Line (2:40-3:40 pm) and a Carers Rights talk by West Berkshire Council Adult Social Care (3:40-4:10 pm). From 4:10 pm onwards, the event opens into a relaxed session with information stalls, a free café area, cakes, and a world tea tasting experience.

There’s no need to book – just turn up. Free parking is available on site.

If you need support for the person you care for in order to attend, please contact the organisers in advance. For more information, email Stephen.Hammond@Ageukberkshire.org.uk or call 0118 959 4242.

This Carers Rights Day is a chance to know your rights, use your rights, and connect with others who understand the challenges and rewards of caring.
