Closure of Compton Road – Public Bus arrangements
Information on the amendments to the 6/6a public bus service during the closure of Compton Road in East Ilsley.

Compton Road is to closed for utility works from 23 July to 2 September 2025. During this time the 6/6a public bus service will be amended.
The 6/6a service will terminate at The Swan in Compton and will not be able to serve East/West Ilsley, further information about the changes to the timetable during this time have been published on Newbury & District’s website at the following link: East Ilsley road closure – Newbury & District.
West Berkshire Council Transport Services Team will be operating a Monday to Friday shuttle bus service (and on-demand service) from 24 July 2025 between Newbury and East and West Ilsley during this time. Details are also given in the link.
